The role encompasses solutioning around Cloud for right qualifying opportunities along with Amdocs account team and sales- team, understanding customer requirements, solution creation in line with customer expectations & Amdocs value addition, ensuring cost effectiveness, business case modelling, negotiations and closure. Also supporting the go-to-market strategy for the Amdocs Solutions and / or business, evangelizing and designing new portfolio solutions and commercial models.
What will your job look like?
•As a cloud Solutions consultant, you would lead technical solutions for multiple cloud pre-sale opportunities – pro-active or RFP's
•The candidate will need to understand the customer business and IT objectives, complex ecosystem challenges and must be able to define cloud solutions to address customer challenges and help them achieve the business objectives
•The solutions may encompass aspects such as Cloud migration Assessment and planning, Cloud foundation and architecture, Security and non performance design, bench marking multiple deployment options across multiple cloud platforms and recommendations.
•As a Cloud Solutions Architect you are responsible for leading the technical interactions with customer, lead workshops and meetings, present the solution, defend and persuade the stakeholders to reach an agreed solution that is right for the customer.
•The role will need the person to take overall responsibility of E2E cloud solution, conceptualise, create and articulate the architecture and design, lead a virtual team of SMEs from different domains to contribute towards larger business solution.
•In this role you will need to interact with various internal stakeholders such as Customer business executives, Account leads, delivery teams, Technical architects, Product design and cloud professional services teams.
•Apart from creating technical solutions, articulating the solutions in powerpoint presentations and / or word documents, presenting these both to internal and external stakeholders with clarity, ability to persuade and get buy-in of various stakeholders, leading and driving workshops and achieving the objectives of the workshops / meetings is a critical aspect of this role
•Maintain & update market benchmarks for delivery mechanisms, documentations, KPIs, etc.
•Detailed working knowledge of emerging technologies and market trends in the new portfolio segments covering Cloud, IoT and Micro & Digital Services

The technical competency and experience needed for the role:
•Strong Cloud Architecture experience with an IT and / or infra background
•Proven experience as a IaaS/PaaS architect with strong hands-on cloud technologies understanding including Kubernetes, Security, non-functional elements, DBs, cloud technologies and services and the 'as a service' tools, open source and cloud ecosystem in general, integration methodologies and implementation
•Experience in leading teams, leading workshops with technical and business stakeholders is desirable.
•Experience working on the pre-sale phase on large opportunities will be an advantage.
•Strong communication skills, verbal, written, presentation and articulation are crucial for the role
•A degree in Computer Science or equivalent - information technology, management information systems, software engineering and networking
•Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability)
•Demonstrate knowledge of DevOps tool chains and processes
•Solid Experience with at least one of Public Cloud (AWS/Azure/ GCP)
•Architect solutions for Cloud Modernization and Migrations of Application Portfolios around preparation of the Bill of Material etc.
