    Competències tècniques i funcions associades: ? Assessorar a l'investigador/a en l'ús de tècniques i procediments del laboratori més adequats. ? Analitzar els processos tècnics assignats, avaluar-los, documentar-los i proposar millores així com resoldre les incidències que es generin en el marc d'aquests processos. ? Informar a les persones usuàries en l'ús dels equipaments i materials del laboratori, especialment als nous membres dels grups de recerca, així com actualitzar la informació dels seus serveis en els formats i canals que disposa el laboratori per fer-ne difusió. ? Preparar els experiments biològics, químics, orgànics i amb animals, generats pel grups de recerca, processar les mostres i analitzar-ne els resultats així com fer el seguiment de les incidències detectades en el funcionament dels equipaments del laboratori ? Programar les activitats que requereixen els diferents grups de recerca i fer-ne el seguiment, així com executar els processos en els quals intervé, entre d'altres:
    • Gestionar el subministrament de material fungible de laboratori i del material d'oficina (sol·licituds i lliurament).
    • Tramitar les sol·licituds de despesa econòmica.
    • Fer el manteniment del laboratori i el control d'estocs de material així com gestionar les incidències dels equipaments inventariables del laboratori.
    • Gestionar els enviaments i importacions de material biològic, realitzar els controls ambientals de productes tòxics així com també gestionar els residus biològics i tòxics.
    • Gestionar els equipaments del laboratori: neteja, manteniment, calibratge i reparacions.
    • Actualitzar i mantenir les bases de dades de les persones membres del grup de recerca així com gestionar l'acollida dels nous membres.
    • Controlar i distribuir els equips de protecció individual dels laboratoris. ? Analitzar dades dels resultats obtinguts a les proves i elaborar els informes i documents tècnics que es requereixin. ? Formar als usuaris o col·legues en l'ús de les tècniques i procediments i en l'àmbit de la seva expertesa. ?
