The
Translational Research in Hepatic Oncology laboratory at
IDIBAPS-Hospital Clinic, University of Barcelona is seeking a motivated individual for the position of
Postdoctoral Research Fellow.

The Principal Investigator
Prof Josep M Llovet is a Full Professor of Medicine at the University of Barcelona-ICREA and a Full Professor of Medicine at ICAHN Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

The main goal of our laboratory is to unravel the molecular determinants of liver cancer, identify novel treatments for HCC patients and discover predictors of response to molecular and immune therapies.

Current areas of interest include the identification of mechanisms driving immune infiltration in HCC, biomarkers of response to immune checkpoint inhibitors and combinations, and the development of mouse models capable of recapitulating specific HCC features for testing the efficacy of different therapies and assessing drug mechanisms of action.

Our efforts are supported by several national and international grants.

We lead an International Consortium devoted to liver cancer research, and have produced important contributions in the field during the last years.
