    is searching for a Communications Specialist, Spain to join our team. Every day, dozens of petitions are started on in Spain.

    Our Spanish communications team is uniquely placed to offer media support to make campaigns more visible in the press and on social media and achieve impact.

    We are looking for a Communications Specialist to join our small but mighty team in Spain.

    A bit about we're the world's largest social change platform, with 100 million monthly users, over 50,000 campaigns launched on the site every month, and a 100% user-generated revenue model.

    Our users win campaigns for change once every hour.

    Just like Julian, the father of a girl with anorexia who has just managed to open the first unit specialized in eating disorders in his autonomous community or Vicky, a deaf person who some weeks ago managed to remove the word "disminuido" from the Spanish Constitution.

    Dozens of local, national, and international victories are happening every day thanks to the strength of our members who are changing the lives of people around the world.

    We want to help them go even further and we need your help Key Outcomes:

    Find stories and campaigns started on at the national or local level with strong media and social media potential;Produce content for social media and monitor and navigate the social media landscape to find the best tactics to spread campaigns and attract/engage audiences;Use media to drive campaign impact, victory, and brand awareness; including pitching to press, building reporter lists, and offering media training to petition starters;Find the best outlets, journalists, influencers and relevant decision-makers to address and target for each campaign;Be on top of compelling issues and news stories to identify media and social media opportunities and share impactful stories to create more brand awareness.

    The most important skills and capabilities for the role are:
    Social media skills, including experience working with influencers and engaging with different audiences. Experience using tools of monitoring and social listening.

    Media skills, including experience working with and pitching to journalists, building press lists, and identifying the right outlets for a particular campaign/story.

    Strong, fast writing skills that are adaptable for different audiences and platforms. You've got a strong sense of narrative, and you can turn out compelling copy at short notice.

    Having your finger on the pulse of what people across Spain are talking about online, and on traditional media, and a good understanding of current social justice, economic, political and environmental issues.

    Culture Alignment Willingness to work across difference, including providing support to policy-compliant campaigns that you may not agree with but align with 's commitment to being an open platform.

    Sense of fun, low ego, imagination, can-do and positive attitude, and a willingness to take risks, fail, learn and adapt.


    Target experience:
    Proficiency (mastery) in Spanish (C2 if ISL) and advanced English are required.
    You have at least 2 years of experience working in social media.
    You have at least 2 years of experience working in media.
    Basic design ability with programs such as Canva or Photoshop is desirable but not required.

    What we're looking for is someone who has most of the skills and capabilities, and can demonstrate how your experience shows this.

    This is a full time role based anywhere in Spain, but requires being in Madrid up to 3 times per quarter.
