    Senior KYC Onboarding Analyst

    Location: Ebury Madrid office - 4 days office-based, 1 day remote

    Ebury has stringent standards for client interactions. As a result, the company emphasizes the importance of abiding by all legal, regulatory, and ethical guidelines. This entails conducting a thorough screening of clients and their transactions, a pivotal step that ensures compliance with all necessary standards.

    Role Purpose

    The Senior KYC Analyst is tasked with conducting onboarding reviews in alignment with current policies to meet all Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. Working closely with the sales team, this role plays a crucial part in facilitating a seamless onboarding experience while ensuring adherence to legal and compliance standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Safeguarding Ebury, existing clients, and potential client relationships from financial crime risks
    • Conducting anti-financial crime checks during the client onboarding process
    • Performing Comprehensive Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) checks
    • Engaging in direct client interactions and explaining onboarding requirements clearly
    • Identifying red flags and escalating concerns when necessary
    • Efficiently managing onboarding cases and ensuring timely completion
    • Documenting client files systematically as per internal guidelines
    • Identifying enhancements in the onboarding process
    • Assisting in audit preparation and data management
    • Supporting ad-hoc projects and team management duties
    • Validating checks performed by team members
    • Providing support in training delivery
    • Collaborating with the Supervisor on team management tasks

    Requirements:

    • 2-3 years of CDD and EDD experience with diverse client segments
    • Language fluency in English/Spanish or other languages
    • Advanced knowledge of financial crime typologies
    • Proactive nature with strong organizational and communication skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking abilities
    • Team player with adaptability to changing environments
    • Ownership of learning journey and motivation to drive success
    • Experience in direct client interactions within financial services is advantageous
