    Descripción

    We are seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to join a multinational company located in Vallès Occidental (Barcelona). The ideal candidate should have more than 5 years of experience, with a focus on the development of embedded software.

    Daily Tasks:

    • Develop embedded control electronics and power electronics for motor control boards and systems.
    • Develop embedded communications for industrial and IoT connectivity.
    • Design specialised embedded electronics, including Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI).
    • Provide support for existing designs in production (sustainment).

    Required Skills

    • Extensive knowledge and experience in embedded software modeling and architecture.
    • Strong fundamentals in firmware development and testing tools/processes/best practices.
    • Good understanding of ARM-based microcontrollers (MCUs)/microprocessors (MPUs) and digital hardware, as well as low-level and high-level embedded communications implementation.
    • Knowledge of power electronics: motor inverters, power supplies, and battery management.
    • Extensive practical experience in Bare Metal firmware development and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
    • Basic knowledge of embedded development in Linux.
    • Proficiency in C language.
    • Development of low-level drivers and libraries.
    • Operation and implementation of embedded communication firmware.
    • Exposure to IoT network protocols.
    • Basic knowledge of model-based embedded software development.

    Essential Requirements

    • Demonstrable proficiency in a significant number of the skills mentioned above.
    • Bachelor's/Master's or Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
    • Extensive practical experience working on projects either independently or as part of small teams.
