    A multinational gas and energy giant is seeking to hire an engineer or professional with experience in the natural gas sector or the energy industry for the position of Senior Commercial Operations.

    The main role will include, among other things, to efficiently manage NG/LNG operations and logistics, from planning to monitoring activities to optimize the company's integrated position in the market based in MADRID.

    THE MISSION:

    • To efficiently manage NG/LNG operations and logistics, from planning to monitoring activities to optimize the company's integrated position in the market.
    • To define strategies for the optimization of NG/LNG storage and capacity management, continuously assessing operational needs and associated costs

    FUNCTIONS:

    • Portfolio management:
    1. Books and portfolio:

      • Lead the creation of new books and portfolios for trading operations.

      • Oversee the ongoing maintenance of the books structure and portfolio, making strategic adjustments based on changes in trading strategies and market conditions.
    2. Portfolio integrated position:

      • Calculate the position of existing portfolios and the integrated position.

      • Generate detailed views of portfolio statuses, providing strategic insights
    • Portfolio planning:
    1. Operations management:

      • Plan and schedule operations, ensuring effective synchronization of NG/LNG production, storage, transportation, and distribution.

      • Supervise and ensure continuous flow through the supply chain.
    2. Guarantees calculation:

      • Calculate guarantees for operations based on market criteria.
    3. Capacity management and optimization:

      • Assess and optimize current and future NG and LNG capacity needs.

      • Manage and optimize capacity needs, implementing strategic solutions.
    4. LNG logistics:

      • Oversee logistics management associated with LNG operations, ensuring adherence to
      established contracts and optimizing efficiency.
    5. Nominations and balance:

      • Manage nominations and balance effectively to ensure accurate handling of commercial
      transactions, providing strategic guidance.
    • New market registration:
    1. Lead the registration process for entry into a new market to facilitate the development of
      commercial operations.

    BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE:

    • Education:
    1. University degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance or a related field.
    • Language:
    1. Proficiency in English and Spanish.
    • Skills:
    1. Proficient understanding of the gas market, including comprehensive knowledge of supply an demand factors, pricing, regulations, and geopolitical dynamics.
    2. Advanced knowledge of logistical processes in the gas supply chain, including route planning, transportation, storage, and distribution.
    3. Substantial experience in gas inventory management, optimizing storage levels, and ensuring availability for commercial transactions.
    4. Advanced skills in analyzing financial, operational, and market data, including quantitative analysis, modeling, and data management.
    • Experiencie
    1. Significant experience in the natural gas or energy industry, with roles focusing on operations marketing, logistics, or market analysis.
    2. Demonstrated expertise in gas inventory management and optimization, with a track record
      of successful decision-making.
