    We are the world market leader for reusable packaging containers (RPCs) for fresh food and are constantly optimizing our products.

    We help make the food supply cycle for the population more sustainable. With our RPCs, safety for food transport is improved, there is less waste of food and at the same time the lifespan of the products increases. Through our products and the need for less packaging materials we reduce the carbon footprint.

    • The main accountability of the Supply Chain Manager Spain & Portugal is the daily supply chain execution in the country:
      • Manage and Coordinate operational service center activities of in the Country
      • Support for IFCO internal and external customers and Logistics Key point of contact
      • Identify and drive process improvements related to service centers
      • Support supply chain director in tender processes and analysis of service centre costs and network optimization.
      • Identify and develop relationship with different providers for operations and to bring new efficiency with the local logistic manager.
    • The incumbent is responsible to support
      • The Implementation of lean and standardized processes across the supply chain teams in the country and the network defined by the central / regional function
      • The implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs ) as defined by the central/regional function for both service centers and logistics
      • The Fostering of a culture of Zero Harm
      • The development of new strategies designed to long-term reduce costs, CO2 emissions and improve customer service in the region
      • The implementation of a country-wide productivity and service level system (KPI dashboard) to monitor the performance of all transport providers and service center operators
      • The implementation of best practices as defined by central/regional functions
    • The incumbent has to ensure the:
      • Compliance with legal requirements in the country, especially regarding the transport of products which come into contact with food
      • Compliance with workers health & safety regulations, food safety regulations, employment regulations and corporate policies and enforcing corrective actions in case of non-compliance
      • That wash-, transport, storage-Capacity and quality meets IFCO internal standards & requirements
      • Conformance to operational KPIs and maintain a focus on stable operations and operational consistency.
    • The incumbent has to:
      • Effectively develop 3rd party relationships with a continuous focus on reducing costs through cooperative initiatives, improving processes and amicable business negotiations
      • Work cross-functionally with the regional Supply chain leads, Customer Service teams in the country and Country Managers
