Laboratory of Metabolism and Obesity / Unit of Diabetes and Metabolism
VHIR offers a Postdoctoral Researcher position at the laboratory of Metabolism and Obesity, led by Dr. Josep A. Villena.

The research of our laboratory focuses on the study of the cellular and molecular mechanisms by which white and brown

adipose tissues contribute to the control of body weight and glucose homeostasis, with particular interest in how

alterations in such mechanisms lead to the development of metabolic pathologies, like obesity and type 2 diabetes. Our

variety of tissue-specific (constitutive and inducible) knockout mouse models, as well as human samples.
