Lab Technician within the Diabetes and Metabolism Research Group to participate in the

Education and qualifications:
Required:

Laboratory technician
- Certificate for handling animals for research use
Desired:
-
Fluent in English language (B2 or equivalent)
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
-
At least 3 years of experience working in similar position.
- Experience in animal experimentation (mainly mouse handling) and retinal explants.
- Experience in molecular biology techniques (histology, WB, immunofluorescence, cell culture).

Main responsibilities and duties:
The laboratory technician will provide support for the following tasks:1) Attending to the animals by making sure of their care and welfare.
2) Treatment (eye drops/twice at day) administration.
3) Processing and conservation of the retinas and optic nerve.
4) Helping in the laboratory tasks (i.e. PCR, immunohistochemistry and western blot analyses).
5) Support in lab organization (perform orders, reagent preparation ).
Labour conditions:

Full-time position: 40 h/week.
