JOB DESCRIPTION

Education and qualifications:


Required:
-

Bachelor's Degree in Life Science or related

  • Master's degree in Translational biomedical research or Genetics and Genomics or related
  • Accredited for animal manipulation
  • Fluency in Spanish, English

Desired:

Fluency in French


Experience and knowledge:


Required:
-

At least 5 years of experience working in the field of Parkinson's disease

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience working with animal models and knowledge of animal experimentation
techniques (intracardial perfusion, behavioral tests, subcutaneous pellet insertions).

  • Previous experience processing animal samples (brain and tissue dissection, tissue sectioning by cryostat and
microtome).

Experience and knowledge of laboratory histological techniques (e.g. brain sectioning, cell culture, stereological
cell analysis, IHC, IF) and molecular techniques (ELISA, RTqPCR, WB).

  • Expertise in microscopy techniques and image analysis (e.g. Stereological microscope, Research Slide
Scanner, Confocal microscope, ImageJ, Qupath, Photoshop, Illustrator)

  • Knowledge in statistical methodologies
  • Proficiency in oral and written English skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

Main responsibilities and duties:

Participation as technician in the research project "Sex-based modulation of neuromelanin-linked Parkinson's

disease pathology"


Labour conditions:
-

Full-time position: 40h/week.


  • Starting date: February, 2024.
  • Gross annual salary: 24.306,73 euros /// (Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are
consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
