Medicine Genetics Group
VHIR offers a position for a Project Manager within the Medicine Genetics Group to participate in the project "Xarxa
interhospitalària catalana de variants genètiques per millorar el diagnòstic genètic en malalties rares (590/C/2020)".

JOB DESCRIPTION
Education and qualifications:
Required:
-
Bioinformatician with biomedicine and genetics background.
- Degree in the area of biomedicine (Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Biomedicine ).
- Master degree in the field of bioinformatics.
- Experience in NGS data processing and analysis.
Desired:
-
PhD will be valuated.
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
-
Experience in the processing and analysis of high-throughput experiments of NGS data.
- Knowledge of Linux / Unix/ MySQl.
- Fluent in R and in Bash scripting.
- Satisfactory level of spoken and written English is preferred.
- Experience in similar positions.
- Enthusiasm, motivation and engagement in research projects.
- Database construction and maintenance.

The project manager will provide support for the following tasks:1) Management of a NGS research project.
2) Database construction and maintenance.
3) Bioinformatic pipeline implementation (Beacons)
4) NGS data analysis
5) Interaction and participation with researchers.
6) Writing research results for publication in international research journals.
Labour conditions:

Full-time position: 40h/week.
- Starting date: April-May 2023
- Gross annual salary
:22.823,22€
