    ING is Hiring a Site Reliability Engineer

    Job Description:

    Are you passionate about ensuring the reliability and scalability of platforms? ING is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join the SRE Expert Unit Team. As an SRE at ING, you will play a key role in guiding product teams to achieve their availability goals through the development of SRE practices. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Contributing to the development of SRE Practices
      • Detecting & Repairing: Observability, Incident Response & Postmortems
      • Prevention & Prioritization: Capacity Management, Reliability Testing & Error Budget
      • Sharing knowledge and raising awareness about SRE practices
      • Identifying areas for improvements and providing technical assistance in SRE practices
      • Defining and reporting SRE metrics
      • Fostering a culture of optimal observability and monitoring
      • Staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies
      • Collaborating with development teams to enhance services
      • Aligning SRE objectives with business goals
      • Improving service reliability through post-incident reviews

    Requirements:

    • Strong understanding of system design principles, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure
    • Deep knowledge of monitoring and observability tools
    • Solid experience in Linux, system monitoring, and configuration management
    • Ability to troubleshoot using debugging tools throughout the stack
    • Knowledge of Ansible, Docker, Azure Devops, and cloud computing technologies
    • System testing skills including performance testing
    • Experience with version control tools like Git
    • Proficiency in automation using Python/Go

    Desirable skills:

    • Experience in Software Development (e.g., Java)
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
