    The PositionPurpose of the roleGCS Knowledge & Learning Excellence is responsible for the creation of multilingual user documentation and service information, user interface texts, digital learning material, and internal knowledge management.

    Within Knowledge & Learning Excellence,the Language Operations subchapter takes care of all aspects related to terminology, translation, localization, language models, and source language governance.

    To do what really matters, we are in close contact with our stakeholders, both internally and externally.
    As an intern (m/f/d), you will have a mentor within the team. You will gain insights in an interesting field and a diversified position. You will work in a motivated team with a great team spirit constantly striving for the best. Collaboration and open communication are key.

    As an Translation Process Specialist intern (m/f/d), you will support the Language Operations subchapter, work with an innovative workflow solution enabling an automated translation process, and learn what it means to have the end-to-end responsibility for a global company's linguistics assets.

    What would your day-to-day look like?Varied working days await you: from exchanges with Content Managers about project timelines, to clarifications with Terminology & Language Solutions Experts about target language equivalents,to exchanges with language service providers and technical subject matter experts about translation feedback, to data maintenance in our translation workflow solution

    Main responsibilities:
    As intern, your main responsibilities will be related to:
    • Managing translation projects
    • Supporting and monitoring the translation process
    • Collecting input for terminology and translation updates
    • Collecting data for performance reports
    • Supporting data cleanup activities for machine translation

    • You have completed your Bachelor's/Master's program a maximum of 24 months ago in linguistics, translation studies, language technology,or computational linguistics
    • You have good verbal and written communication skills in English (preferably C1)
    • You have one of the following as native language: Chinese, Japanese, Danish, Turkish, Polish, Czech, Greek, Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Finnish, Vietnamese, Hungarian, Romanian
    • Good knowledge of CAT-tools
    • Basic knowledge of machine translation
    • Basic knowledge of terminology management, taxonomies, or controlled vocabularies is beneficial
    • You are motivated, reliable, and like to work independently
    • You have strong communication skillsWhat do we offer?During the internship you will get an insight into a global company. You will learn the processes and dependencies in creating multilingual documentation and software localization.

    You will learn what the concept of "Language Operations" means in practice and how to connect processes, technology, and people to efficiently implement multilingual communication in the company.

    You will be involved in applying machine learning and using language models in the field of translation.

    You will learn what "Customer centricity" means and how the Global Customer Support of Roche Diagnostics implements this in its daily work.
