    Our Mission

    Climate change is causing deep uncertainty at all levels of society, with climate volatility reducing the security of all land-based assets and posing a multi-level security threat for the functioning of enterprises, societies, and governments.

    Mitiga is a spinoff of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, which hosts MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe.

    Mitiga's mission is firmly rooted in employing cutting-edge science and technology to mitigate the multifaceted risks posed by climate-driven perils. Our approach spans a spectrum of temporal scales, from real-time and annual forecasts to projections spanning the next century. This comprehensive perspective on risk, coupled with our capacity to transfer risks to capital markets via catastrophe bonds, positions us to significantly contribute to enhanced climate mitigation, resilience, and equity.

    Your Impact

    • You're the bridge between the the regulatory landscape for physical climate risks and Mitiga. You'll keep abreast of emerging and long-term trends and industry demands, synthesising these insights into a knowledge base for the organisation. These entails crafting presentations, one-pagers, and running internal webinars/workshops to equip our leadership, growth, and product teams with strategic insights that drive sales and product enhancement.
    • Collaborating closely with the product team, you'll refine the workflow of our climate risk products to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, enhancing user experience and product specifications to deliver maximum value to customers on their reporting and compliance journey.
    • You'll support client and stakeholder conversations, guiding them through the climate risk disclosure and reporting landscape, and facilitating their climate journey with Mitiga's expertise and solutions.
    • You'll also play a critical role in quality assurance, ensuring that Mitiga's products and services meet the highest standards of accuracy, reliability, and regulatory compliance, bolstering trust among our clients and stakeholders.
    • You'll serve as Mitiga's ambassador in relevant industry forums, conferences, and working groups focused on climate risk policy and regulations. You'll help raise Mitiga's profile as a thought leader and stay at the forefront of regulatory developments, enabling us to anticipate changes and adapt our strategies proactively.

    Who you are

    As the ideal candidate, you possess a deep understanding and practical expertise in climate-related reporting standards and frameworks such as TCFD, ISSB, CSRD, etc focusing on reporting and compliance requirements.You will work directly with the Chief Strategy Officer and have close interactions with the Head of Product.

    You're the go-to expert on climate risk regulation, adept at deciphering the nuances of various regulations across industries and geographies, with a strong emphasis on Europe and additional insights into Asia and the US.

    Your exceptional communication skills are key to translating regulatory developments into actionable insights that shape product development, UI/UX design, long-term strategies, and positioning. You'll excel in articulating complex concepts through presentations, one-pagers, and internal webinars, and engaging with prospective customers to address their reporting obligations effectively.

    With a well-established network in the regulatory policy domain, you'll leverage your connections to position Mitiga as a leading player in assisting companies with compliance and due diligence. Your prowess in client and stakeholder communication, including influencing, negotiation, and relationship management, will be instrumental in driving our mission forward.

    You likely have a background in either policy development or direct industry experience in climate and enterprise risk management, and you're driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, eager to contribute to building innovative products that translate climate intelligence into resilience for our clients.
