    The Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD) provides a range of analytical reagents and research chemicals to Thermo Fisher's core markets globally.

    LCD is a strategic growth area for the company with expansion possibilities in the US, Europe, and emerging markets, notably Asia.

    With five operational facilities in the US and Europe, LCD sells a substantial portion of its products through channel partners globally.

    We are seeking a dedicated Chemical Sales Specialist to join our UK team. This role will involve managing business in the region covering **Spain and Portugal**.


    THE ROLE:

    As the Chemical Sales Specialist, you will represent the Laboratory Chemicals Division Brand portfolio to customers and support channel partners.

    This position reports to the Region Sales Manager and focuses on selling chemical brands from both a general and project-specific standpoint.

    This role involves both field and home-based work and entails 50% travel.

    Expect to spend 85% of your time in direct customer contact, virtually and in the field, collaborating with channel partners.

    Given the territory's size and the company's global reach, overnight stays will be required. Sales support will be provided by various teams, including Manager, Marketing, Product Management, Operations, and Customer Service.


    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's capabilities under brands like Fisher Chemical, Thermo Scientific, and Fisher BioReagents.

    Act as a representative of Thermo Fisher Scientific and fully embrace the company's values.
    Establish long-term, fruitful relationships with new and existing customers.

    Efficiently use the SFDC CRM system and Power BI sales reportingDevelop and execute an efficient territory sales plan, including a Target Account PlanAchieve the sales target for the territoryAnalyze monthly sales data, comprehend deviations, and propose corrective measures.

    Build relationships with all channel partners, especially Fisher Scientific, to support key accounts.

    Provide regular reports including customer visit reports, pipeline monitoring, and target account progress.
    Plan customer visits effectively to maximize personal interaction.
    Conduct sales presentations, attend exhibitions, and conferences.
    Follow up on inquiries and quotations actively to maximize conversions.

    Maintain high ethical standards to uphold a professional business code of conduct.

    To excel in this role you should possess:
    Experience in a commercial environment in the chemicals market.
    A university degree, preferably in chemistry or a related field.
    The ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and collaborate effectively in a team setting.

    Strong interpersonal skills, confidence in all customer interactionsDetermination to exceed targetsEffective organizational skills with clear task prioritization.
