The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education.

ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level.

Research is organized in three main areas, Malaria and other Infectious Diseases, Child and Maternal Health, and Urban Health, Climate & Non-Communicable Diseases.

ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.

    What We Are Looking for:
  • ISGlobal is looking for a research technician to join our dynamic team in Radiation research. As research technician, you will be responsible for coordination of field work to set-up a national cohort of paediatric patients treated with interventional cardiology as part of the HARMONIC project. Work conducted in the Medical Radiation Group includes large international collaborative studies of the effect of medicalradiation exposures.
The HARMONIC project aims at better understanding the long-term health effects of medical exposure to ionizing radiation in children, specifically those undergoing radiotherapy for cancer or X-ray guided imaging for treatment of cardiac disorders

Skills and experience:


  • Master in Social Health
  • Strong organization and teamworking skills
  • Professional attitude with attention to details
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Team player, yet capable of working autonomously, rational and critical thinker

Main Duties and Tasks:


  • The main responsibility will be to coordinate data collection in Hospitals in Catalonia and Andalusia and ensure appropriate linkage with regional cancer registry

Language level:


  • Excellent English
