What We Are Looking for: - ISGlobal is seeking a Preaward Manager who is interested in providing tailored advice and support on grant proposals preparations in liaison with ISGlobal staff (principal investigators, project managers, scientific coordinator, grant managers).

Key Responsibilities:
ISGlobal PhD suport:
- ISGlobal PhD Committee: organize meetings, agenda, minutes, interaction with predocs representatives...
- Database: update bbdd, maintain... Facilitate indicators
- Support doctoral students: indicate where to find information (ISGlobal guidelines, UB / UPF websites), answer questions, provide information...
- Thesis defense: update information in bbdd, internal communication...
- Provide support on the organization of meetings with predoctoral students
Mobility scholarship program:
support calls, monitor scholarships...
- Support the organization of a PhD symposium
- Support updates to the PhD guidebook and other documents and disseminate them internally
Preaward support:
- Provide technical and administrative support to the R&D Grants & Contracts Preaward Manager:
CONVOCATÒRIES:
- Identify and disseminate calls for funding from public and private institutions, for Global Health Research Projects.
- Compliance with the funder's requirements
- Obligations and contractual procedures
- Submission of proposals to funders and followup until resolution, corrections and allegations if applicable, receipt of official communications and processing of acceptance.
- Coordinate the formal acceptance of granted projects, act as liaison with the legal department, grant managers and the HHRR department (if applicable) the negotiation phase of researchrelated contracts, such as grant agreements, subgrants, subcontracts and fellowships.
- Management of internal and external signatures.
- Maintenance of grant and contract databases to obtain accurate activity reports.
- Any other role related to the position requested by superiors; contribute to the general operation of the Grants Office
Specific Duties:
This job description reflects the present requirements of the post but may evolve at any time in the future as duties and responsibilities change and/or develop providing there is appropriate consultation with the post-holder.
Training and experience /Qualifications:
- University degree; preferably but not necessarily in Life Science.
- Minimum 1 years' experience of preaward management in a similar position.
- Knowledge and experience managing calls from European and International funders (such as H2020/Horizon Europe, HEI, EIT Health, NIH) is required.
- Knowledge and experience managing calls from Spanish/Catalan national funders (Spanish Ministry of Science, ISCIII, AGAUR, PERIS) will be highly valued.
- Experience working in a research centre will be valued.
Skills:
- Proven ability to prioritize, work with deadlines and under pressure.
- Organized, high attention to detail; ability to summarize and communicate key information at all levels.
- Proactive attitude to identify the needs of the principal investigators and the organization.
- Ability to work independently and in a team in an international multicultural environment.
Language level:
- Advanced level of English, spoken and written, a must
- Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and Catalan
Conditions:
- Duration:Permanent contract
- Starting date: As soon as possible
- Contract: full time
- Salary Range: Compensation will be based on the internal scales and applicant's experience and qualifications
