    What We Are Looking for:
ISGlobal is seeking a database manager/statistician who is interested in managing data management activities of the project ExPEC-TEEN.

The overall project goal is to study the effect of early exposure to environmental contaminants, especially chemicals with endocrine disrupting activities, on metabolic and cardiovascular outcomes in adolescents from the French PELAGIE and Spanish INMA-Sabadell mother-child cohorts.


More specifically, the present project aims to:
1) measure and describe metabolic and cardiovascular health endpoints in adolescents years old) from general population studies, and their main risk factors
2) study the associations between prenatal exposure to a wide range of EDCs and metabolic and cardiovascular health of the adolescents, addressing specific issues:2.1) identifying potential exposure mixture profiles involved in these associations, using up-to-date statistical methods
2.2) evaluating whether and how the child's health at birth might mediate these associations.


ExPEC-TEEN aims at conducting a new and harmonized follow-up of the participants enrolled in the PELAGIE and INMA-Sabadell cohorts, at the teen ages, in order to further investigate the potential role of the early exposure to potential endocrine disrupting chemicals on distinct markers of metabolic and cardiovascular health.

The protocol will include a clinical examination of the child at 15-17 years for anthropometric and cardiovascular measurements, and a fasting blood sample collection for biomarker measurements.

ExPEC-TEEN is funded through the ANSES-Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire de l'alimentation, de l'environnement et du travail. France (2019/1/233).


Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a database manager to join the ExPEC-TEEN team, to fulfil the following tasks:
Assist in the design, implementation and management of databases.
Carry out data cleaning and quality control, including contact with international partners to resolve queries.
Document and archive all data for easy use in future research.
Work directly with scientists on-site and European collaborators to manage data.
Additional responsibilities and/or duties as found relevant and necessary during the course of the project.


Auxiliar task:


This job description reflects the present requirements of the post but may evolve at any time in the future as duties and responsibilities change and/or develop providing there is appropriate consultation with the post-holder.


Training and experience /Qualifications:


  • Experience in data management of longitudinal cohort data, preferably with STATA.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Team player, capable of working autonomously, rational thinker.

  • Learning capacity.

Language level:


  • English (written and spoken), and Spanish will be preferable

Conditions:


  • Duration: 3 months
  • Starting date: 1st of March 2023
  • Contract: Part time (15h/week)
  • Salary Range: According to internal Salary Scale Tech I D.

Selection Process:


The selection process is designed in two phases:1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation.

To assess the person's skills and CV.

  • Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be pass. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
