Overview:


Contributing to the development of the business agenda and strategy this role covers organization design, change and development and its impact on people, reward and remuneration processes, performance development, resourcing, people capability building, talent development, labor law and employee relations.

Responsibilities:


Essential Function

  • Work with HR leaders on the development and maintenance of appropriate HR strategies in line with Corporate and business requirements
  • Take a proactive role with HR leaders in the development of the HR priorities and lead the implementation of this and other major change as required within business areas.
  • Ensure that key HR operational processes are delivered successfully to the business (Transactional HR processes/ leading performance development processes/leading annual remuneration exercises).
  • Review and maintenance of policies and procedures ensuring that employment law requirements are complied with and to communicate these effectively to employees and managers.
  • Working with Recruitment to structure packages in keeping with company reward systems.
  • Working with Recruitment on Intra-Company transfers and associated documentation
  • Assisting the Global HR to compile data for annual Talent Management Process
  • Participation in projects to improve processes/practices e.g. diversity training
Facilitation and co-ordination of the appraisal and performance management process/induction/interviewing/coaching and mentoring/learning & development

  • To be an active and influential player enabling the effective diagnosis of business issues/ strategy and goals, thus turning these into People Plans.
  • Support transition & integration projects to ensure success of commercial projects.

Leadership/Management Responsibility

  • Employee counselling and guidance on employment issues as appropriate.
  • Provide employees with Company policy advice and information as required.
  • To provide active leadership, in partnership with business leadership teams, on HR issues such as reward, employee relations, talent, performance, organization development/change, culture, leadership and learning and development.
  • To challenge, provoke and coach business leaders on how to engage employees and address resulting people issues and build people capabilities effectively.
  • Counselling on employee related issues eg. performance management, succession planning, flexible working, maternity, absence management compensation and any other matters affecting the employment relationship.

Qualifications:

  • Technical:_
  • PC literate, working knowledge of MS Office and an understanding of IT architecture.
  • Experience of managing projects within budget and delivering on time.
  • Non-Technical:_
  • Sound knowledge of Spanish Employment law
  • Sound knowledge of a broad range of HR areas including resourcing, reward, learning & development, employee relations
  • Experience of employee transfer & integration processes
  • M&A experience
  • In depth experience with Workers Council & Collective Bargaining agreements
  • Experience of working with international companies and startups.
  • Management:_
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communicator at all levels.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and networks across the organization.
  • Capable of challenging in a constructive and positive manner.
  • Strong delivery skills.

Work Environment

  • This is a hybrid role; job operates in a professional office environment 2 days per week. This role uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smartphones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and scanners.

Required Education and Experience

  • At least 5 years' experience working in a senior HR role.

Additional Eligibility Requirements

  • Fluent in English & Catalan (ideal)

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

  • Right to work in Spain required

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.


Position Type/Expected Hours
This is a full-time position; days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.


Travel
This position requires up to 25% travel. Some of the travel may be international.
