About the role:


Do you want to work in a fast paced and challenging environment for a forward thinking company? Here at our Kerry site in Pinto, Madrid where we have just been awarded a ZERO WASTE accreditation we are the leading supplier of dry ingredients for food and beverage products such as chocolate, ice cream and milk.


Due to demand and growth within our Supply Chain team we are looking for a
Supply Planner to join our Pinto factory site, we are the leading supplier globally to some well-known brands and as a Supply Planner you will be responsible for confirming all production through Customer Care and the sales team where necessary.


Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager,
you will be responsible for executing the MRP process on a daily and weekly basis to ensure production planning and scheduling requirements are met.

This a dynamic and strategic role where no 2 days are the same and where you can look at ways of working and make a difference, Our Pinto site is a smaller factory of only 50 employees so your voice will always be heard you will be working with our other Kerry sites globally where our business language is English but any other languages are welcomed.


Key responsibilities:


  • Ensure optimum inventory level including following up on expiring raw materials and packaging.
  • Closely monitor stock at risk, advise on write offs and write off risks and lead action plans.
  • Monthly review Safety Stock level and update SS.
  • Ensure timely response to orders and provide monthly forecast to suppliers.
  • Update inbound dates in the system and coordinate inbound flow with warehouse.
  • Support materials request from and to other Kerry sites from time to time and coordinate with R&D department for new projects
  • Closely follow demand patterns and suggest improvements (New MOQ, group orders) work alongside buyers on these improvements.
  • Follow NPI process actions from SP and ensure contracts are in place and request the new RM maintain MRP.
  • Communicate Material Availability when RM is needed for production plan
  • Track vendor performance and share any concerns with SCM and buyer.
  • Link invoices with purchase order and close workflows
  • Work closely with SP and PPDS to analyse cost and forecast accuracy in order to challenge it and improve it.

  • Play a key role in facilitating emergent issues that will impact on the schedule and customer commitment. Work with functional team to perform rootcause and gap analysis, and to find solutions
  • Generating and distrusting reports in SAP and Excel and using the information to provide insight to other functions.
  • Ensure the factory can supply and deliver end products to customer which includes ensuring sales orders, inventories, and supply plans are properly managed.
  • Proactively identify and report capacity & inventory risk; including close monitoring of excess, slow moving, aging and safety stock.
  • Develop a robust supply plan to ensure there is an appropriate level of products available to support the production plan, sales and increase customer service level.
  • Work with Demand Planner, Sales & Customer Care to establish 'Supply Level Agreements' that secure supply with an appropriate balance between risk, opportunity and flexibility.
  • Accountable for stock at risk and service results linked to allocated product line.
  • Place purchase orders with our internal and external vendors for the right quantities, dates and location. Place orders in advance for long LT / Material at risk when needed.
  • Escalate and follow up to PPDS/SP/SCM any RM shortage/delay that could affect production plan and OTIF.
  • Ensure contracts are in place for all RM and coordinate the process to place them with central purchasing when needed.

What do I need to be successful?:

In order to be successful in this role we would be looking for the right competencies and aptitudes as well as your proven track record of success in Supply Chain or a manufacturing environment.


These include:


  • Fluent in Spanish and English; spoken and written.
  • Purchasing Procurement or equivalent experience.
  • Desirable degree in Logistics or similar.
  • Experience in a Call Off / Planning function.
  • Experience of SAP ECC
  • MM purchasing.
  • Good Excel skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Positive attitude towards complex situations.
  • System and process driven, problem solver, good communicator, shows initiative and entrepreneurship.
