About the role:

The Transport planner is responsible for managing transport planning activities primarily for outbound shipments. This role may involve direct customer communication but mainly focuses on engagement with forwarders, cross-functional teams, and intercompany functions. The local market is the primary focus, with a greater emphasis on domestic transportation.

What will I be doing?:

Create deliveries based on goodsissue dates, allocating stock/batches to deliveries, and checking that all details are in order for orders to be dispatched
Maintain contact with approved logistics providers, contacting to arrange pickup of materials and ensuring timely delivery to the customer location as per agreed terms.
Liaise and maintain contact with Warehouse personnel, Supply Chain and Customer Care regarding transport/ supply issues, and ensure corrective actions are put in place.
Investigate and resolve any shipping problems including possible damaged freight issues.
Liaise with planning department on shortages or changes to delivery schedules
Complete and follow up on the timely payment of invoices of product shipped and resolution of any outstanding payments due.
Maintain KPI's on freight providers used, linking with the freight buyer to keep service levels at a high level for the business.
Provide a monthly performance review from our 3PL and Hauliers.
Analyse, answer and solve customer complaints related to transport

_This role will initially be on-site-full in Madrid on a full-time basis._

What do I need to be successful?:
In Kerry we understand that people have very different career trajectories and experiences. To be successful in this role, we would be looking for;

Previous experience in Transport/Export planning 1 year (Degree in Transport & Logistics or similar would be advantageous)
Good analytical skills
System and process driven, problem solver, good communicator, shows initiative and entrepreneurship being emphatic with our customer needs
Fluent in Spanish and English; Spoke and written
