6 WAYS TO STOP POSTPOSING THINGS

                                 DON’T LET THE WORD "AFTER" BECOME "NEVER"

  • Do you avoid starting something because you are afraid to fail, because of some selfesteem problems?

  • Do you do everything at the last moment when there isn’t enough time?

  • Aren’t you starting because you are afraid that it’s not going to be perfect?

    However whatever the reason is, the result is always the same: YOU DON’T ACT.

    But, what can you do, when whatever the reason is, you really don’t want to do that thing that not only is important, but that it’s becoming urgent...?

    6 WAYS TO STOP POSTPOSING THINGS

    1-Try to see abundance everywhere.

    • Stop focusing on your defects, on what you don’t have. Instead, identify your talents and love everything you already have. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes, if the first time doesn’t go as you wanted to it’s ok, you have all your live to try again and again.

    2-Accept that life is messy.
    • Stop wanting everything to be perfect at the first time, as you’ll just get upset or stressed 
    and you’ll hurt yourself.

    3-Be constant.
    • You don’t need to do everything in one day. Start with 10 minutes and then when you

    already started, you might want to continue for a little longer. If that’s not the case, it’s ok, but try 10 minutes  tomorrow and so on, and observe what will happen.

    4-Look at your life as a show, not as a rehearsal.
    • People that think that what they did is not good enough will be in an endless rehearsal all the 
    time as anything will       be good enough, as John Lennon. Life happens here and now, trust yourself and everything will be fine.

    5- Don’t try to walk alone.
    • Many times we postpone things because they are too much for us. There are many people 
    that can help you, guide     you, etc... Maybe if you are alone you can go faster, but not further(however most of the time if you are not alone        you also go faster).

6. Create a support group.

• If anyone is “taking care” of us, and we don’t really care about that thing that we need to do, we use to postpone it anytime we can. The solution to that is to create a group (preferably friends)to whom you are going to explain what you need to do and they will remind you to do it, forcing you to stop postponing it.

Now you know what to do to stop postponing things.
