- Manage current data ingestion processes on GCP
- Design and implement the architecture of Softonic's data lake located in Google Cloud Platform
- Design and implement the integration of additional data sources into the data lake
- Develop and maintain Google Cloud infrastructure related to data ingestion and processing
- Optimize data management and processing, both in terms of budget and performance
- Design and implement dev ops processes related to Softonic's data lake (e.g. git workflow, staging environment, deployment processes, permissions...)
- Work with stakeholders to identify root causes of inaccurate data points and develop fixes
- Provide support for users of internal dashboards and reports to help understand, improve and expand available data
- 3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience
- Fluent in Python programming language (3+ years of experience)
- Experience running data workflows and develop data pipelines with cloud orchestration tools working with Airflow
- Proficient working with BigQuery and SQL
- API integrations
- Dataflow
- Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, Storage, Composer, Admin, Serverless deployments, etc )
- Git
- Working experience with QLIK Cloud

Softonic is looking for a Data Engineer to join our talented Business Intelligence team in Barcelona.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that empowers our BI Engineers to transform data into actionable insights.
