Job Description:
Microchip's MPU group offers microprocessors which rightly balances the performance, power, cost and comes with advanced security capabilities which caters to a multitude of applications.
With a broad set of peripherals and interfaces, these MPUs can support a wide range of applications. Point of sales systems, home and industrial automation systems, automotive infotainment etc. are just a few among various supported end uses.As a PrincipalEngineer in the MPU32 group, you will work with our multi-sited global Silicon Development Team in design and implementation of complex SoCs.
The work will include SoC design integration, micro-architecture, design verification, synthesis, test methodologies as well as supporting post silicon bring up.
A successful candidate will also be responsible for training and mentoring junior engineers to grow the team.This position requires a proactive and highly motivated candidate with a proven record of success in a multi-site and multi-functional team environment.
The position is based out of Zaragoza in Spain.Responsibilities Design and integration of complex IPs and subsystems into SoCUnderstanding SoC requirements and architecture specificationsUnderstand IP specifications and work with IP/architecture/application teams to correctly integrate the IPs into SOCs, meeting the chip level requirements.
Perform RTL codingRun RTL checks – Lint, CDC, RDCDevelop verification plan for subsystems/SoC Collaborate with cross functional teams in architecture and IP evaluations, performance, power analysis, pre and post silicon validationOvercome design challenges, support achievement of verification goals, provide debug supportHold spec reviews, code reviews, coverage analysis, etc.
