At ING we are looking for an Associate in the Real Estate Finance (REF)Team

Your role and work environment**:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic (
Associate) to join our (
Real Estate Finance Team)

The responsibility of this team is to originate and do the Portfolio Management of the REF Spain and Portugal's book and our way of working is team collaboration and result oriented.

Your key responsibilities**:

As an Associate you will:
Play a crucial role in supporting the REF team in assessing, underwriting and manage the real estate finance transactions.

Review and manage NDAs prior to analyzing an opportunity.

Engage with clients and other stakeholders (ie: advisors) to gather necessary information for deal evaluation.

Prepare comprehensive Green Light memos and Credit Packs for presentation to committees, including the cash flow modelling.

Together with senior members of the team, manage the documentation and closing process of transactions. Collaborate with Legal and Risk Management teams to ensure seamless deal execution.

Review property valuations, financial statements, due diligence reports and market trends to make informed lending decisions together with senior members of the team.

Monitor and manage an assigned portfolio of real estate loan, ensuring compliance with covenants and terms agreed. Preparing the annual review and any potential credit modification.

Compliance with ING Real Estate policies including monitoring of upcoming deadlines and overdue (review dates, rating, covenants, CDD, past dues etc.).

Manage the instruction of external advisors (ie: lawyers, valuers, etc )

Gather information from borrowers and process it internally for the approval for initial and reviews of KYC.

Prepare and present external pitches for winning lending opportunities and other product mandates.

Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience in the banking sector and familiarity with risk management practices.

Knowledge of the real estate market.
