At ING we are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer

Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Cards in Life Team of Payments and Daily Banking

The responsibility of this team is to manage credit and debit cards environment, our way of working is a Scrum team with a 2 week sprints, we are part of P&DB chapter and bank guilds in all team context (Front, Backend and Devops)


Your key responsibilities:

As an experienced
Frontend Engineer, being part of our Tribe, your aim will be:
To deliver in Production a working software by giving the best use to technology and development practices. It includes the documentation and parameters that can help reaching that goal. To support Production by analysis and fixing any bugs that occurs. Contribute to improve the technical discipline by collaborating with the cross technical chapter.


As an expert in the Frontend area you specifically add value on that technical layer but always keep in mind the rest of the technical stack as part of the Squad responsibilities.

What are we looking for?
As a
Frontend Engineer for our tribes, you should have the following knowledge and experience:

Essential:

  • Good coding Skills on all Frontend layer
    :ECMASCRIPT 2015+:
-
Web Components:


  • Design Patterns, SOLID, Clean Code, Software Craftmanship
  • Solid knowledge in HTML, CSS, and responsive web design
  • Bundling Tools (Webpack/Gulp/Rollup)
  • Autonomous debugging/problemsolving skills
  • Testing: Unit testing, integration, performance, e2e.
  • Test Frameworks like (Open WC test, Mocha, Chai and Sinon, Jest, Jasmine...)
  • TDD
  • NPM/Yarn
  • Git
  • CI / CD pipelines
  • 5 years of experience on similar technical stack
  • Agile team experience with SCRUM or Kanban or XP
  • Excellent speaking and writing skills in English is a must.

Desirable:

  • Retail banking knowledge
  • Knowledge in

  • Functional Test
  • Knowledge of frameworks like , cypress, puppeteer, night watch, selenium,
  • Docker
  • BDD
  • Contract Testing
