- Plan, review, adapt and execute the annual and/or more annual sales plans
- Introduce company products and services to Strategic- or Key Customers
- Steer the customer team to assure a successful management and implementation of customer business plans with all related short- and long-term objectives
- Build long-lasting trustful relationships with selected customers. Develop a thorough understanding of customers' needs, requirements, and objectives to improve the customer experience. Customers can be direct or indirect customers.
- Responsible for money collection in line with the financial policy and the payment terms
- Provide market, price, and product information in line with M&S strategy to contribute to the formulation of the marketing and sales plan together with Customer and Crop Marketing.
- Improve Vegetable Seeds market intelligence in the working area, updates on market trends, new traits and potentials that could open new sales opportunities.
- Contribute to strengthen the knowledge and excellence of the Global - and Regional Crop Teams.
- Organize promotion activities. e.g: demo fields, campaigns, customer events.
- Contribute to the trial program to come up with proposals regarding new assortment.
- Manage new variety's introductions: propose on price level and product forms in line with M&S strategy
- Together with PD department, provide technical support to customers. e.g; growing concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business or Marketing
- Min 3 - 5 years' experience in a sales related position in the vegetable seeds business
- Experienced in the technical- and agronomical crop knowledge
- Proactive approach to (Key) Account Management and customer relationship management processes (market & clients)
- Proven relationship builder at all levels including company owners, decision makers and senior influencers
- Excellent communication skills and English knowledge level B2
- Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
- Eager to become the expert and show a learning attitude
- Very good commercial and negotiations skills
- Ability to manage complex national- and international customers
- Flexibility to understand different and complex business needs
- Able to work in a matrix organization

To further develop and grow this ambition we are looking for a Sales Specialist /Account Manager for our Tomato Fresh Crop in Spain (Area Almeria / Murcia).
Depending on your experience we can consider both job titles mentioned. The vacancy description below is based on the Account Manager's position, but if you have less experience, but willing to learn and grow in this sales opportunity we encourage you to apply
Looking at the area of responsibility, ideally the candidate is living in or willing to relocate to the Almeria / Murcia area.

The focus of this job is to further develop our market position and market share of our BASF | Nunhems crops (Tomato Fresh) as well as build up a long term relationship with potential national and/or international customers that are of strategic importance for 'Vegetable Seeds' to gain a strong position in the reference markets in line with our strategy.
