    We are looking for hardworking technologists to join our Pre-Sales organization to ensure that our growth is grounded and guided by strong technical alignment with our platform and the needs of our customers.

    MongoDB Pre-Sales Solution Architects are responsible for guiding our customers and users to craft and build reliable, scalable systems using our data platform.

    Our team is made up of hardworking software architects, entrepreneurs, and developers who take direct responsibility for customer success, including the design of their software, deployment, and operations.

    You'll work closely with our sales reps and play a key role in winning deals and driving the business forward.

    You'll be a trusted advisor to a wide range of users from startups to the world's largest enterprise IT organizations.

    As MongoDB continues to expand product offerings and features within the MongoDB Atlas Data Platform, MongoDB is seeking an expert in application search.

    This role will focus on being a product specialist of Atlas Search within the presales organization.

    Beyond the normal tasks of a MongoDB Solutions Architect, this specialist role will operate in a worldwide team, assist in the most complex search deal cycles, assist in search enablement, and work closely with the Atlas Search product team to close the feedback loop and further enhance the product moving forward.

    This includes both lexical and semantic search offerings.
    This role will be based remotely in Barcelona.

    As an ideal candidate, you will have3+ years of search expertise (Elasticsearch, Lucene, Solr, Algolia, Lucidworks, or similar)3+ years of software development experience3+ years of pre-sales experience with enterprise softwareSolid understanding and ability to code with two or more modern scripting languages (e.g.

    Python, , etc) and/or popular programming languages (e.g.

    C, C++, C#, Java, etc)Experience with scalable and highly available distributed systemsExcellent presentation and interpersonal skillsA Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceAbility to travel approximately 20% of the timeYou may also haveExperience selling databases and/or deploying applications with any of the major cloud providersExperience with database programming and data modelsA MongoDB CertificationWhat you do at MongoDBDesign systems, applications, and infrastructure to help drive software development projects using MongoDB and the Atlas Developer Data Platform (DDP)Advise customers on architectures, patterns, and strategies for making the best use of MongoDBExpertly articulate the business value of MongoDB solutionsAlign to support sales with activities such as technical discovery, demos, proof of value, presentation, sizing, and documentation of technical decision criteria; working across a number of opportunities in parallelTranslate technical concepts and patterns into business benefits for management and executivesAct as a liaison, collecting feedback from the field to relay back to the Product Management teamHelp drive demand through participation in both industry-known trade-shows as well account-based marketing eventsDemonstrate resilience and sound judgment in dealing with business challengesProactively seek opportunities to support and mentor other pre-sales team members and share standard methodologiesHelp enable other solutions architects with knowledge on search technical and business concepts as well as build tools to allow other SAs to demonstrate these conceptsAssist in the direction of Vector Search and AI/ML through taking customer needs and interactions to Product ManagementThe rapidly growing MongoDB product suite, includingAtlas (fully managed cloud database service)The Atlas Developer Data Platform including Atlas Data Lake, Atlas Full-Text Search, Atlas Vector Search, Atlas for the Edge, Realm, Charts, and Atlas Streams ProcessingOther Tools and connectors - Ops/Cloud Manager, Compass, Connector for BI, Connector for SparkMarket-relevant, complementary technologies e.g.

    Apache Kafka, KubernetesModern and popular architecture design patterns, methodologies and concerns e.g.
