We are looking for interesting candidates that have two to five years prior experience at other economic consultancies and / or competition authorities and hold a masters or PhD in economics and / or statistics.

About the role

We are looking for Senior Associates to join our offices in Düsseldorf, Barcelona, Berlin or Zurich. The focus of your work is to deliver analyses applying economics and quantitative techniques within the relevant legal framework.

You will be anticipating and assessing arguments and questions put forward from competition authorities, courts, tribunals or opposing parties. You will be developing theoretical arguments as well as designing and conducting empirical analyses. You will help to prepare expert reports for competition authorities, courts and tribunals as well as memos and presentation for our clients and their legal advisors.

You will also be communicating with clients and their legal advisors with the necessary support provided from more experienced colleagues.

We expect that you fully engage in our team, share your thoughts and ideas, and actively challenge the thinking, concepts and economic analyses from peers and more experienced colleagues.

Your profile

Successful candidates usually have two to five years of relevant experience at other economics consultancies or competition authorities and a master's degree (or higher) in economics and / or statistics. We require that candidates for this role have a demonstrated track record of managing projects and / or workstreams of large projects. We also expect that you have awareness of how to work professionally with clients including the ability to anticipate and understand their requirements and needs.

You need to have the ability to work well in teams and under tight deadlines. You need strong technical and analytical skills, including good knowledge of software packages such as Excel, Stata or R.

We also require that candidates have a keen interest in topics relating to competition law and applied economics and share our dedication to produce accurate and high-quality work. You need excellent written and oral communication skills to communicate complex issues and solutions in a simple manner. English is a requirement, other languages are a plus.

We further require that candidates have the ability to conduct in-depth research, have strong attention to detail, are organized and able to correctly prioritize under pressure and tight deadlines.
