They started as rivals in the 80's. 

Who do you think is the greatest now? still rivals or each developed a non-comparable musical career?

I still have a special feeling for Depeche, but a big part of my 80's was listening and dancing the songs of the three bands.

Gotta give it up for the boys from Ireland for their longevity and continued originality. Kind of funny you clump these three together. Depeche Mode/Heaven17/ThompsonTwins/Bronski Beat/Yazoo/The Cure etc I'd understand. But U2 was raw and authentic and each song was a powerful message. Love them all bien sur. I have Love Cats in my head right now!
