beBee, a bridge between Facebook and LinkedIn

I don't need to explain to you what Facebook is: YOUR LIFE. In my humble opinion Facebook is an unbeatable value proposition: Your family and friends. Facebook is about people in your life, you already know them. You can use Facebook for other purposes, but that is Facebook. Facebook allows me to keep me updated with my family & friends. It is much more about my past than my future.

I don't need to explain to you what LinkedIn is: YOUR PROFESSION. In my humble opinion LinkedIN is a huge successful directory of professionals. It is usually linked to recruitment. LinkedIn is about professionals in your network, you already know them. You can use LinkedIn for recruiting or selling, and other purposes, but that is LinkedIN.  LinkedIN allows me to try to sell anything to somebody through payments, but I get daily requests from people trying to sell me anything. Whenever I get a business card, I just drop it to the paper bin and add it on LinkedIN. It is much more about my past and my present.

Both - Facebook and LinkedIn - use an algorithm to decide who and which followers will see your content. On beBee you decide for yourself. Your followers will see always your content.

On the other hand, I see beBee like a bridge between Facebook and LinkedIN. You can enjoy both sides of you.

be Professional. be Personal. be Succesful.

beBee is focused on networking through common interests (can be personal / passions or hobbies , can be professional). You can display your entire personal brand. The name is "personal brand" and not "professional brand" because PROFESSIONAL means PERSONAL. 

beBee is addressing a clear market fit. It is not Facebook. It is not LinkedIn :-)

beBee is focused on merging business and social networking, allowing users worldwide who share the same professional or personal interests to connect through affinity groups - beBee call them HIVES. With 3rd-degree connections, beBee is challenging the established 2nd-degree connections freely available through platforms like Facebook and LinkedIn.

Since the birth of social media, users have tended to keep their business profiles and interactions separate from their personal ones — a natural separation of church and state that seemed to make sense. Succesful crowdfunding among bees

Pascal Derrian and Don Kerr are a great example of how deeper relationships can succeed. "Few followers but deeper relationships works" . They have shown that it is very important interact and work hard to engage :-) . Distributing content is not enough to engage. It takes time. All good things in life takes time !
