THE ROLE


:


  • Main duties*
  • Regularly monitor the health of plants through our Monitoring System, analyzing systemgenerated alarms to identify technical issues and potential underperformance.
  • Calculate KPIs and other performance metrics for the assigned sites, such as availability and performance ratio.
  • Conduct data analysis to investigate the root cause of identified issues and quantify their impact on performance.
  • Collaborate with Asset Managers and the rest of the Global Performance & Monitoring Team to track known issues until they are resolved.
  • Generate regular reports on site performance, detailing performance indicators and explaining underperformance resulting from known technical issues or events.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by developing new tools to streamline data analysis and automate reporting and dashboards, such as scripts for automating manual calculations, improving data manipulation, or automating reporting/dashboards.
  • Assist in the implementation and testing of the company's advanced Data Lake and System of Insight, which includes KPI management, reporting, and analytics.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A degree in Renewable Energy, Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
  • Alternatively, a Foundation Degree (e.g., FdA, FdSc) or Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE) related to Renewable Energy and/or data analysis
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VBA.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and comfortable querying data.
  • Strongly desired: proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or other programming languages.
  • Experience in automated data visualization and communication using tools like Power BI or Tableau will be considered an asset. General Skills/Attributes
  • Possesses an analytical mindset and is adept at problem identification and solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of extracting key insights beyond simple data presentation.
  • Able to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to delivering highquality work.
  • Organizational skills and work ethic to meet critical deadlines.
  • Embraces a mindset of continuous improvement, always seeking opportunities for personal and team growth.
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently.
  • Fundamental principles of electricity generation.
  • Key components and operational methods of photovoltaic (PV) plants.
  • PV plant performance parameters, including PR and availability.
  • Basic data flows underlying SCADA and monitoring systems. Experience Required
  • Demonstrable experience in data analysis and the ability to generate and communicate insights from quantitative information.
