- The Senior embedded softer engineer as member of the software design group, is responsible of the software high-level specification, architecture, and detailed design of the entire software items embedded into new avionics computer developed by MMSI.
- She/he takes parts to the project/ program life cycle as software functional leader managing all software activities.
- She/he is conducting all the technical analysis necessary to produce a design which meets customer and internal requirements/ constraints in terms of functions, safety, performances, verification, industrialization, production, on-time, and on-cost.
- She/he is producing all the evidence and documentation in accordance with MMSI development process.
- She/he is conducting all the activities defined within MMSI integral process required by the product development life cycle (validation, configuration Management, checklists, problem reports, etc.)
- She/he is supporting the integration, validation, verification, and qualification activities as SW technical authority.
- She/is defining work package to be outsourced and following up suppliers.
- Functional lead of software activities on highly complex avionic projects
- Establish and follow up software planning of the project.
- Coordinate with internal teams the different software activities of the project as well as the various milestones
- Ensure the software project execution is conform to the defined process.
- Participate to the specification, design, development, or verification activities when required.
- Develop and integrate software modules in C/C++, such as kernel drivers for Linux kernel, drivers for Certifiable RTOS (VxWorks 653, PikeOS, etc.), application software for system qualification or script for verification and testing tools.
- She/he participating to the transversal peer reviews as software expert.
- Software technical interface with customer or certification authorities
- The SW Functional leader has cross-functional skill, and capabilities to communicate with expert team, of other discipline (System, Hardware, FPGA, Safety)
- Master's degree in Information Technology electronics/computer science, or similar
- At least 7 years of industrial experience as embedded software engineer
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Excellent programming skills in C/C++ and Python
- Proven background/experience in avionic safety critical software development life cycle (DO-178C)
- Proven background/experience in software project management (tasks definition, Workload evaluation, planning setup, tracking and monitoring, etc.)
- Technical knowledge/ experience in some of the following field is highly desired Certifiable RTOS and/or Linux kernel driver, as well as in application developmentsExternal stakeholder/ Outsourcing managementEmbedded Cyber-security (ED-203 / DO-356)
- Strong analytical ability.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, with customers and at all organization levels.
- Leadership and ability to interact with multi-disciplined professionals to understand and make necessary trade-offs and decisions.
- High resilience and ability to work in a challenging and very dynamic environment
