Purpose


Manage the daily production and packaging of finished and intermediate goods, meeting the Lubrizol Safety Standards, the quality specifications and ensuring products are manufactured on time and at optimum cost.

Supervises the Production Department.


Contribution
Provides leadership and people management to the Production Department.

Assures the scheduling of finished goods to serve the customer's demand.


Executes the plan for the manufacturing of intermediate goods to ensure the efficiency of the resources, both equipment and staff.


Specifically contributes to the business effectiveness by ensuring continous improvements in operational productivity taking into account safety, quality and cost.

Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities for HSES
The following responsibilities and accountabilities are identified in HSES. They are non-negotiable, enduring, and a base expectation for all employees in Lubrizol.

Each employee and leader should jointly review these expectations and acknowledge their commitment to meet these expectations as a part of their responsibility and accountability in their role.


All employees are responsible and accountable for:

  • Performing the job safely, in compliance with all applicable procedures, standards and regulations. Proof at all times an exemplary behaviour towards everything related to HSES.
  • Anticipating and identifying HSES risks and taking action to prevent the risk from having an adverse impact;
  • If a job or task is believed to be unsafe or will put the organization at risk, every employee is expected to stop the activity until further review is made. No one should proceed with a job or task until all appropriate risk controls are in place.
  • All Lubrizol employees must actively contribute to reach the objective of: 0 accidents, 0 spills and emissions, 0 overdues
  • Actively contribute by detecting risk situations and reporting safety alerts.
  • Promoting and demonstrating their personal commitment through active and visible participation in implementation and ongoing use of the HSES management systems.
  • Attend and ensure the team also attends HSES training courses and actively participate in the HSES meetings.
  • Attend and ensure the team also attends the trainings set for Procedures and Work Instructions, fulfilling the established planning.

Accountabilities

  • Ensure the products are manufactured in accordance to HSE Company regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with LZAM quality standards and ISO quality continuously improvement systems for operations.
  • Manage the daily production and packaging of finished and intermediate goods
  • Daily supervising and coaching the production team so that they are sufficiently trained, motivated and developed to satisfactorily meet the production goals.
  • Control the operational conditions that influence the costs in such a way that business objectives are met
  • Execute production strategies to ensure continuous improvement in operational productivity

Expertise / Knowledge / Skills standard for this position

  • University degree in engineering, preferably in Chemistry.
  • Minimum 510 years relevant experience, with 3 years of production management in a chemical production environment
  • Excellent computer skills (e.g. Excel, Access, ERP system).
