The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education.

ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level.

Research is organized in the following main areas, Malaria and other Infectious Diseases, Maternal, Child and reproductive Health, Urban Health and Child and environmental health, Climate & Non-Communicable Diseases.

    What We Are Looking for:
  • ISGlobal is seeking a Project technician for the Grans Office who is interested in supporting activities of the Postaward area and work together with the Grants Managers

Training and experience /Qualifications:


  • Module in Finance / Accounting
  • Experience in budget management or accounting departments will be valued.
  • Knowledge and experience managing grants and reporting to different funders (AEI, Catalan Government, European funding, Federal funding) will be a plus.
  • Experience working in research management will be valued
  • Ability to work as part of a team this position gives administrative support to the grants manager on a daily basis
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge of accounting and Microsoft Excel is a must
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, SAPBO and Google tools will be considered

Key Responsibilities:


  • Get the financial information from the ERP (SAPBO) and turn it into reliable information for the grants manager to use it for monitoring and reporting purposes.
  • Budgetary justification and monitoring of projects (national and international funders) under the supervision of the grants manager
  • Link between the Grants Office and other departments from the Administration such as Purchasing and Accounting to:
  • Revision of the correct accounting in SAP
  • Reallocation of costs between projects
  • Monthly reviews of projects and budget monitoring.
  • Liaison with the Purchasing department in order to claim invoices from suppliers and purchasing files.
  • Liaison with accounting and HR departments to manage the information needed for project audits
  • Review and preparation of documentation for both internal and external audits of projects
  • Scheduling and monitoring of financial reports and audits
  • Amend any requirement from the funder post reporting (in particular, national funders

  • Fluent Spanish and Catalan

Conditions:


  • Duration: Permanent contract

  • Salary Range: EUR gross salary

Selection Process:


The selection process is designed in two phases:1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation.

To assess the person's skills and CV.

  • Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be pass. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
