- Define and be responsible for the generation of all discipline deliverables (specifications, drawings, lists, scopes, protocols...) until the final review 'as built', including the necessary support bid packages documentation.
- Define the calculations and/or previous studies necessary for the development of design activities.
- Define design activities and their planning by defining efforts and sequences.
- Define the estimation bases and make discipline cost estimates
- Integrate aspects of constructability (consider the restrictions of executing with a plant in operation), operability, maintainability and safety in the design, in close collaboration with Construction, Operations, Maintenance and EHS.
- Keep the discipline plant master documentation updated (and archive the historical documentation).
- Make change requests, technical reports and/or optimization studies.
- Perform, witness or review of FAT/SAT of equipment.
- Analyze the impact on time, cost and resources of design changes.
- Generate databases of suppliers, installers, equipment, components, materials...
- MSc in Industrial Engineering or BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
- Spanish native speaker and English business fluent (min B2)
- At least 5-year experience in similar position, demonstrable expertise and responsibility in mechanical and piping facilities design and/or erection within industrial environments.
- Experience in design of utility systems such as plant steam, clean steam, reverse osmosis, purified waters, compressed air, cooling water, pharmaceutical grade gases and chemicals, HVAC and wastewater treatment.
- Knowledge of main international design standards for equipment, machinery & facilities (ASME, UNE-EN-ISO...) and Spanish industrial safety regulations
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical sanitary design and regulations such as FDA cGMP, ASME-BPE and ISPE guidelines is a must.
- Experience with AutoCAD, MS Project and MS Excel.
- Ability to analyze large and complex data sets.
