- Oversee the Enterprise Data Management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Evolve and adapt data management strategies to align with organizational goals and changing business needs.
- Lead the development and implementation of the data governance framework and ensure the adoption of data governance policies and support their development.
- Evaluate and manage vendor partnerships for data-related services, negotiating contracts and assessing new offerings.
- Collaborate internally and maintain interaction with stakeholders to manage the budget and resource allocation for related projects.
- Implement and update data privacy policies, conduct risk assessments, and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Encourage learning and development and communicate and prioritize project responsibilities by offering guidance and feedback, and ensuring individual accountability for performance.
- Minimum 5 years of expertise in data management, governance, and quality, with specific knowledge of Canadian regulations and data policy (Law 25).
- Minimum 3 years of team leadership and project management for medium to large-scale initiatives.
- Extensive background in data architecture, storage best practices, and developing data strategies.
- Expertise in implementing data quality, lifecycle management, and metadata management frameworks.
- In-depth experience in data integration, security practices, and enforcing organizational data governance policies.
- Proficiency in various architectural patterns, database technologies (SQL, DB2, Oracle).
- University degree or college diploma in computer science or related discipline
