As a Product Assurance Manager at PLD Space, your mission is to ensure the quality, reliability, and safety of our launch vehicles and spacecraft throughout their lifecycle. You will lead the product assurance activities, establish quality standards and processes, and implement measures to minimize risks and maximize mission success.

Responsabilities

:

Develop and implement product assurance plans, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements.

:

Lead the product assurance team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure effective execution of quality-related activities.

:

-
Define and establish quality control metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and quality gates to monitor and improve product quality.

:

-
Conduct audits and assessments of internal processes, suppliers, and subcontractors to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.

:

-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and operations, to integrate quality considerations into the product development lifecycle.

:

-
Perform risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential quality and safety hazards.

:

-
Lead the investigation and resolution of non-conformances, deviations, and quality-related issues, driving root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.

:

-
Monitor and analyze quality data and trends, providing regular reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.

:

-
Coordinate and support customer audits, inspections, and reviews, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and customer expectations.

:

-
Stay updated on industry best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, and ensure their integration into the product assurance processes.

Generate documentation, including user guides, guidelines and user manuals for internal customers use.

Generate documentation for formal program development reviews.

:

-
Provide high-level and low-level feedback for MIURA 5 program development planning.

:


Required Knowledge

:

-
Engineering bachelor's degree or demonstrable relevant experience in lieu thereof. Advanced degree preferred.

:

-
> 10 years of relevant technical experience.

:

-
Bachelor's or master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.

:

-
Strong understanding of quality management principles, quality control techniques, and product assurance processes.

:

-
Knowledge of industry quality standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, AS14001, PECAL2110, PECAL 2210 and PECAL2310.

:

-
Familiarity with aerospace systems, including launch vehicles, spacecraft, and associated subsystems.

:

-
Understanding of configuration management, document control, and change management processes.

:

-
Proficiency in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action methodologies, such as 8D, 5 Whys, or similar.

:

Experience with quality management software tools and systems.
