For our TCS (Turbine Control System) team within the LCP (Loads, Controls and Performance) Unit in Service Customer Technology and Solution, Technical Systems department, we are looking for a new colleague to work with us supporting the SW development activities.

Main mission of this role is, as part of a global Services provider organization, to develop SW for our legacy Wind turbiness, including requirements management, coding, execution and validation, making sure the right solution and support are provided for each project.

This position acts as part of a dedicated legacy SW Development Team, which is responsible of addressing on field issues, as well as ensuring regular updates of the SW are made available when neede for each platform.

Proper fulfillment of this role implies knowledge in SW development process, including validation of SW solutions and communication systems, including SCADA.

How to contribute to our vision

For our WTC-3 SW Development Team within the LCP(Loads, Control and Performancesl) Unit, within Service Technical Systems Department, we are looking for a new colleague to work with us in wind-turbine software development for turbines equipped with WTC-3 controller, including geared and Direct Drive.

Main mission of software development engineer is to develop the software of the controller according to the specifications of the functional team based on customer needs.

In addition, he/she will be responsible for verifying the software in test room to reduce as much as possible the software issues before being validated on site.

This position has a strong interaction with other engineering disciplines, mainly with control and testing. Consequently, the profile counts with an overall understanding of the turbine operational working and the testing methodologies and methods.

Your responsibilities will be:

Implement new functionalities or changes in the wind turbine controller according to input's specifications
Verify the software implemented ensuring that complies with the specified algorithms
Fix software bugs detected
Review and correct understanding of the requirements specified and written by the functional team.
Prepare and maintain the documentation of the software of the controller
Evaluate the wind turbine controller performance availability in terms of memory space, processor load, and tasks cycle times
Cooperate with the team lead in the specification and development of new technical procedures/methodologies or tools needed to improve the team performance and knowledge

What you need to make a difference

We are also looking for someone with:

You have a background within Software, Telecommunications, or Industrial Engineering areas.
You have technical experience (at least 3 years) in software development & validation systems, tools, and procedures for wind turbine controller embedded software (communication networks, PLCs, devices, IO, HMIs) and/or Wind Farm SCADA system.
You have experience and knowledge in software management and integrity tools and processes and the full software life cycle management
You have knowledge and experience related to wind turbines and wind energy disciplines (wind turbine safety, operation, and control software)
You have software development experience in different languages like Modula2, C++, Python, etc...
You have software development experience working with different communication protocols like CAN or Profibus
You have experience in SW Validation and Testing
You have some experience in multicultural and multisite software engineering teams
Willingness to contribute in a growing, still establishing environment. You are proactive, good team player, persistent and selfdriven.
You have full professional competence in English
