The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Support Technician.

This position will be funded by by the project PDC I00, financed by the Spanish Ministry MCIN/AEI/ / and by the European Union "NextGeneration EU"/PRTR.

ICIQ is looking for a Support Technician to work in the group of Prof. J.R. Galan-Mascaros.

  • We are looking for a person with a solid background in chemical engineering who has an interest in CO2 valorization, including chemical analysis and scaleup to reactor prototype.

Requirements:


  • Degree in chemical engineering or equivalent (FP-Professional Qualification)
  • Experience in chemical reactor operations and system control
  • Experience in gas handling, and highpressure chemical reactions.
  • Experience in product analysis (chromatography).
  • Ability to cooperate with experimental teams.
  • Ability to present the results of research in reports and

Valued qualities:


  • Experience in inorganic, solidstate synthesis.
  • Experience in processing of materials (spray coating).
  • Experience in CO2 reduction electrocatalysis
  • Strong commitment for technology development in a competitive environment.
  • Fluent in English.

We offer:


  • A fulltime employment contract linked to the PDC I00 project.
  • Remuneration according to the Institute salary scales.
  • Annual salary split into twelve monthly payments.
