In this position, you will provide technical support for AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots) in Robotics throughout Spain and occasionally internationally, delivering superior, professional service, remotely or on-site.
Your hands-on experience and knowledge of customer needs will help you not only to build strong customer relationships, but also to actively identify and develop new business opportunities.
ABB is heavily investing in the field of Robotics, and AMRs in particular. You will form part of the team working in the one of the fastest growing and most highly sought after sectors in Industry.

This position is not graded yet as the country still hasn ́t gone through the phase 4 of Global Grading process.

This position reports to

Service Manager

Your responsibilities

• Providing remote or on-site technical support for customers
• Exceeding customer expectations by appreciating and anticipating current and potential needs
• Troubleshooting potential equipment failures and proactively taking measures to offset/prevent and inform internal partners
• Coordinating logistics of resources and spare parts for all site Service jobs
• Suggesting product and process improvements within the business to enhance operations and customer service

Your background

• 5 years of experience in industry working as a maintenance technician or engineer with industrial equipment – ideally industrial automation
• Sound knowledge of and hands-on experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning and repairing of electrical mechanical machinery
• Knowledge of electrical diagrams, field bus networks, and the ability to understand mechanical diagrams
• Ability to travel throughout Spain and occasionally internationally (Europe and further) for the majority of the year
• The availability to be on call on weekends, as per a pre-scheduled calendar
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
• A technical training degree as an electrician or skilled mechanic
• Spanish or English language a must, strongly preferred both. Highly valued other European languages
• Current B (car) drivers license valid in Spain and Europe and Spanish residency permission.
