Key responsibilities:


  • Lead the MRP team as MRP expert, using the MRP SAP R/3 functionality.
  • Responsible for implementation and best practice for procedures and controls to manage the overall inventory levels and availability for all material types in site.
  • Perform routine tasks to convert planned orders into material plans including the creation and management of material planned requirements.
  • Supervise inventory risk and ensure that contingency plans are in place
  • Liaison with Supply Planner and Schedulers to ensure all material plans are up to date and responsive to changes in material requirements.
  • Generate site inventory and SMOG Plans through collaboration with regional SC teams.
  • Oversee site inventory integrity results through ongoing validation processes.
  • Implement policies and procedures to mitigate site excess inventories.
  • Creation and maintenance of detailed material planning parameters in Planning systems, to ensure that raw materials are planned and managed according to best standard processes to prevent losses and/or scrap.
  • Expediting material availability through liaison with procurement and teams involved with inbound material processing.
  • Lead the creating and maintenance of supply related KPIs to ensure optimal portfolio execution and drive performance improvement.
  • Identify and support for improvement initiatives related to inventory /sourcing.
  • Execution of key material availability, mobilization or writeoff actions to support optimal management of inventory while reducing scrap/waste.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders (Supply Planner, Scheduler and PM) to develop safety stock and inventory plans to meet production plans.
  • Track, report and facilitate ontime material availability including testing and release for production
  • Participate in the Internal Project Teams and Joint Project Teams (Customer Interaction) representing Supply Chain operations.
  • Ability to influence both Supply Chain and functional leaders to support inventory management/ strategy recommendations.
  • Work with cross functional teams to deliver effective solutions.

Desired profile:


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in a Supply Chain Management or other related Business discipline is essential
  • Supply Chain Certification is preferred
  • APICS: CPIM
  • Lean Certification is desirable
  • Project management certification is desirable

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant Supply Chain Management experience (Planning, Logistics or Manufacturing) is required
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Leadership role (People Management/Project Management)
  • Experience in Planning/Purchasing in a multinational environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the use of SAP. SAP R/3 MM and PP advance user

Knowledge, Skills and capabilities

  • Knowledge of MRP Systems, material and capacity planning methodologies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to define metrics (KPI's) and identify issues through root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials scheduling
  • Understanding of SIOP process
  • Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning.
  • Proven analytical, planning ,and problemsolving skills

Leadership This position is responsible for a small team of people who plan, co-ordinate and action the Material Planning function of the business.

  • Monitor and ensure that staff under supervision maintain accurate material schedules to get the right materials onsite at the right time in the right quantity.
