Mission.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the selected person will coordinate a team of 7 people.

The mission of the SQA area is to guarantee that the products delivered by suppliers meet the product specifications, certify that suppliers comply with the regulations and commitments made in contracts, audit the suppliers' production processes, identify potential risks and monitor corrective and preventive actions.


Main tasks for the position:


  • Validation of the options presented by purchasers in the prototype phase.
  • Approve the first samples of components.
  • Review and control that supplier products meet specifications.
  • Raise awareness about the goal of "Zero Defects" to all suppliers.
  • Lead the supplier development process.
  • Monitor the adequate sizing of resources in accordance with the requirements.
  • Establish specific short
- and long-term supplier quality objectives. Follow up and communicate SQA KPIs.

  • Develop longterm relationships with suppliers and generate and implement cost reduction ideas.
  • Establish the supplier audit plan.
  • Audit suppliers' production processes, identify potential risks and monitor actions.
  • Promote suppliers to adopt solutions that improve the quality of their products or services, reduce costs and improve delivery times.
  • Implement Quality systems and tools required by the organization.
  • Initiate, recommend and offer solutions through designated channels.
  • Control compliance with the legal requirements established by our company and business group, identifying deviations and opportunities for improvement.
  • Communication to interested parties of the results of the supplier evaluation and any other issue that may affect it.

Education requirements.

  • University Degree in Engineering
  • Master ́s in Quality or Industrial Organization is a plus.
  • Full professional competence in Spanish and English.
  • Advanced user in Excel and Data Base management.

Experience requirements.

  • At least 5 years of proven professional experience in a similar job.
  • Experience in team management.
  • Previous Experience in Product Development projects.
  • Background in the steel industry is desired.
