- 7+ years of experience in a technical people management role
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or managing a systems engineering team of at least 5 members
- The ability to turn long-term vision into achievable, actionable goals that inspire employees to exceed expectations in both productivity and personal development
- Extensive expertise in discovering, designing, developing, and implementing complex technical solutions
- Experience in establishing effective KPIs and monitoring support metrics to ensure optimal productivity
- 5+ years of budget management experience for a systems engineering team
- A track record of surpassing client expectations in an engineering leadership capacity
- Hands-on familiarity with the hardware/software technologies we utilize, including various tools such as macOS, Windows 10, VoIP, Zoom, Slack, Zendesk, and more
- Proficient in monitoring and maintaining the performance of GET services
- The ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, from team members to executives, verbally and in writing
- Naturally calm and empathetic under pressure, capable of resolving multiple issues in real-time through delegation and effective time management
- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing complete technical problems
- Exceptional work ethic with a high level of curiosity
- Self-motivated with the capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively with a global team
- Willingness to travel to regional and global offices as required
- Previous experience supporting an organization with 10,000 employees or more is a plus
- Ensure compliance of GET Engineering policies, procedures, workflows, and systems with regulatory standards
- Effectively manage cross-functional relationships and details of GET Engineering projects and services
- Provide mentorship and define clear growth paths for members of the GET Engineering team
- Utilize incoming support requests metrics to meet KPIs and mitigate risks wherever feasible
- Identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience throughout the lifecycle of GET tickets and projects
- Utilize ticketing data and internal surveys to evaluate the effects of changes
- Drive continual improvements in support effectiveness
- Collaborate with GET Engineering Leads to ensure smooth and appropriate escalations among Triage Support (L1), IT Support (L2), and GET Engineering teams
- Assist in vendor management tasks such as requirements gathering, research, evaluation, selection, and renewal processing
- Conduct regular meetings to ensure team and individual growth, maximizing productivity
- Maintain accelerated personal growth:
- Within 3 months, fully grasp our services, technologies, and processes, managing day-to-day leadership activities of the global GET Engineering team independently
- Understand the objectives and ambitions of all members in the GET Engineering team
- By 6 months, lead the development of innovative solutions to streamline processes and address business challenges. Drive the team towards enhanced productivity and growth by aligning individual interests with daily tasks
- Within 12 months, focus on broad team development and exceptional employee experience. Achieve a comprehensive understanding of all elements comprising GET at MongoDB
- Develop a clear vision for enhancing and optimizing the engineering function to meet both current and future organizational needs
- Customer Service: Deliver an exceptional employee experience by motivating the team and its leaders to provide top-tier technical support and projects

Team Description:
MongoDB is looking for a Global Enterprise Technology (GET) Senior Manager to lead the team's engineering function worldwide. This new position will ensure GET initiatives are in line with departmental, organizational, and company goals. The Senior Manager, Systems Engineering, will be a crucial point of escalation for engineering issues, a key figure in advancing the careers of GET engineers, and a valuable partner to the various global stakeholders supported by the GET team.
The Senior Manager, Systems Engineering, will be responsible for overseeing three core functions of GET: IT Engineering, Corporate Support Services (CSS) Engineering, and Network Engineering. We need a results-oriented leader to coordinate and prioritize the successful implementation of initiatives that bring significant value and efficiency to GET stakeholders. As MongoDB grows, this manager will proactively identify areas to optimize resources and expenditures. In this role, the leader will utilize individual and managerial matrices to elevate all members of the GET Engineering team.
The MongoDB GET team handles all aspects of internal office technology infrastructure, including email management, employee onboarding, network administration, security access, asset management, and more. You will play a key role in developing, enhancing, and maintaining systems and processes that enable numerous teams to maximize efficiency through technology.
