The company is an industry-leading, progressive and environmentally conscious Renewable Energy Company dedicated to providing efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective energy solutions in the solar
sector only.

The company is already present at a wide international level, and offers solutions such as EPC, O&M, and SCADA.

As part of their growth and development, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Project Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities

Designing PV systems.
Preparing single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, and shading analyses.
Performing system performance evaluations and yield calculations.
Preparing and reviewing detailed drawings and specifications for construction projects, according to engineering sketches and design proposal specifications.
Assisting with permit submission and coordinating with utility companies for grid connection.
Working with the sales and installation teams to develop design modifications as needed.
Keeping up to date with the latest design software, PV technologies and Spanish regulations.
Providing technical support and training to other team members.

Qualifications and experience

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field, preferably from a BSc or similarly scientific or technical program.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience designing solar PV systems, in which time they will have designed to installation and completion dozens if not hundreds of such systems in Spain.
Proficiency in using CAD and PV*Sol software.
Understanding of the rules around the IET Code of Practice for Grid Connected Solar PV Systems, and similar codes for both solar PV and energy storage systems
Will be able to demonstrate ability in predominantly the commercial sector, but also the residential sector.
String knowledge of the MCS standards and tools.
Excellent knowledge of UK building regulations and industry standards.
Strong understanding of PV system components and their specifications.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both in English and Spanish, with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly.
