The Director of Lab Automation Projects play a key role supporting the Diagnostic customers to their transition to full or partial automation laboratories improving their safety and efficiency.

This position main responsibility is overseeing the definition, planning, execution, and delivery automation solutions ensuring Grifols quality standards.


What your responsibilities will be

  • Lead the full project lifecycle, from initial definition, design and planning to installation, commissioning, and handover.
  • Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams, customers, sales, vendors, R&D, marketing, etc, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans, optimizing efficiency and minimizing risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct thorough site assessments to evaluate project feasibility, identify potential risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Define equipment, and services necessary for project implementation, managing stakeholders' relationships to ensure timely delivery and costeffectiveness.
  • Monitor project progress, track performance metrics, and proactively identify and address issues or delays to keep projects on track and within scope.
  • Ensure adherence to Grifols' quality standards and safety protocols throughout all project activities.
  • Prepare and deliver regular project updates, reports, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders, fostering transparency and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Desirable having experience in Health Care Labs environments, automation projects and it's a plus have knowledge of Diagnostic/Blood Screening/Testing.
  • People Management Experience & relationship skills
  • Broad understanding of customer requirements.
  • Working knowledge Microsoft packages.
  • Possess strong verbal communication and technical skills.
  • Ability to present highly technical data to senior management.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Financial skills and understanding of managing a budget.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate scientific information effectively.
  • Must be able to work in a challenging environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Individual needs to be able to work in a project oriented, multitasking environment and be capable of leading a team in the completion of projects/tasks of complexity requiring interdepartmental interaction.

Education:


  • Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering. It is a plus Advanced degree in sciences or MBA preferred.

Experience:


  • Advanced: Minimum of 10/15 years' experience managing projects and people relationships. Individual should have understanding and experience working in a GMP Regulations environment. Should have familiarity with QA/QC processes and documentation.

Monday-Thursday 7-10 to 16-19h and Friday 8-15h.
