    The Position Job Summary

    The Road Transportation Supplier & Tender Analyst supports the Road, Rail and Warehousing Purchasing Category Team by running analysis and reports on various areas related to the categories, manages freight quotations- and tenders processes including the implementation of the results.
    He/She is a strong process focused project manager, is able to retrieve missing information in the organisation and respects time lines.
    He/she has a high level of autonomy and is able to cope with challenges in the execution of the job.

    KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITITES:
    Manage the full Road Transportation RFQ process aligned with the Category strategy:

    • Design the documentation and run the communication about the RFQ with suppliers

    • Be an expert user of the tool that will be used for the RFQ by receiving the necessary training

    • Ensure that the tender is fully executed according to the schedule

    Interact with Internal stakeholders

    Lead the data collection in close collaboration with internal stakeholders making sure that all specific requirements are collected.

    Drive the category managers involvement

    Communicate awards

    Interact with external stakeholders

    Make sure that all participants are compliant with the Imerys Purchasing Policy

    Make sure that all (potential) suppliers are aware of the Imerys Safety rules and accepted / confirmed to comply to it

    Point of contact for questions related to the tender

    Responses management

    Communicate awards


    • Provide analysis on cost variances

    • Implement the new conditions in the ERPs (rates, vendors accounts creation requests to the Accounting team)

    • Identify leakage (non compliance to the contracts by the sites)

    • Maintain / update rates and allocations in the ERPs
    Manage Spot freight requests according to the agreed process with the Supply Chain Team, perform analysis and reporting on the Spot Quotation tool.

    Make sure that all suppliers are compliant with the Imerys Corporate Purchasing Policy (such as certifications) and ESG equirements and have accepted the conditions of the categories.

    Supplier key information maintenance in systems

    Be an expert user of the Ivalua tool in general and in particular the SRM function by receiving the necessary training

    Manage spend analysis per supplier

    EDUCATION:
    Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.

    EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum of 2 years of experience in transport/logistics services procurement, managing a high number of flows with a focus on tender management and supplier relationships.

    • Familiar with ERP systems, SAP is an asset.

    • Knowledge and understanding of purchasing- policies and environment.

    • Experience in project management.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

    • Team player, flexible, with interpersonal communication skills.

    • Thorough and organised due to the large number of data to maintain.

    • Strong analytical skills.

    • Excellent level with Google Sheet or Microsoft Excel.

    • Continuous improvement mindset.

    • Process- and customer- oriented.

    • Fluent English Speaker.
