Spanish President Hands Award to Circular Economy Club (CEC) Founder
LONDON – Anna Tarí, Founder and CEO of the Circular Economy Club (CEC) received the " Youth Awards " in the category of Circular Economy. The prestigious Youth Awards are organized by the Ibero-American Secretariat (which gathers the Heads of State of all Latin American countries, Spain, and Portugal) and the Ibero-American International Youth Organization. The purpose of the Awards is to give visibility to young people leading social change projects. One of the 7 categories is circular economy and initiatives promoting environmental sustainability.
Anna Tarí is receiving this award because of her role as the founder of the Circular Economy Club (CEC), a nonprofit with 3,100 professional and organizational members from 85 countries. Among other activities, the club has a network of 100 CEC Organizers who voluntarily organize local workshops worldwide and initiatives to implement the circular economy at a city level.
Founder and CEO, Anna Tarí, stated, "At CEC, our primary mission is to gather the individuals and organizations who are trying to implement the circular economy and give them the tools to have impact in their cities. I'm excited about the success the club is having, and I am honored to be recognized for this award. This award is proof that the highest levels of the Ibero-American community are seriously considering the circular economy framework as the approach to foster a growth that is both smart and sustainable. I feel very proud to be part of the Ibero-American community and would like to thank you for this recognition. Our cities, regions and countries can lead this effort. Let's do this."
