Communications Lead, Southern Europe

As a member of our EMEA Communications team, the Communications Lead, Southern Europe will be responsible for managing communications within Southern Europe, an important market for Corteva's continued business success.

This role will elevate how Corteva communicates and engages with internal and external audiences, raising awareness and interest to the organization's significant achievements and continued focus across agriculture.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead proactive and strategic communications counsel and guidance to senior leaders and country teams with a special focus on Spain and Italy.
Create and execute an integrated communications strategy to build, strengthen, and maintain a strong corporate reputation within Southern Europe, incorporating tactics related to digital and social media, media relations, brand, and other related areas.
Develop and deliver compelling external messaging, targeting priority stakeholders.
Develop and deliver compelling internal messaging to inform, inspire and engage colleagues.
Integrate technologies, data, and best practices to ensure continued effectiveness of messaging across audiences.
Work across the business to find, develop and communicate stories centered around innovation, sustainability, and impact.
Proactively monitor and respond to issues and crisis.
Collaborate with the Media team on effective media strategy design and execution, including press releases, media interactions and social media, to effectively position the organization in toptier and mainstream media.
Collaborate with Government and Industry Affairs team to communicate effectively on policies, regulations, and other areas of identified importance, and to champion local community investment initiatives.
Lead and support adhoc communication projects, including signature agriculture programs/events.

Qualifications:

Professional Experiences/Qualifications

Experienced communications professional with 10+ years of experience leading communication efforts in a corporate environment.
Ability to critically assess any given issue and provide counsel on recommended path forward.
Ability to navigate a matrixed organization effectively and independently.
Bachelor's degree. Postgraduate or MBA degree preferred.
Previous experience in working with the agriculture or chemical sector preferred.
Strategic mindset that fosters innovative, creative thinking.
Experience influencing and consulting with internal and external stakeholders.
Results driven; ability to successfully execute and manage through ambiguity.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; exceptional public speaker.
Effective collaborator, facilitating conversations to bring alignment and confront tough issues.
Ability to successfully navigate challenging opportunities to meet objectives and deadlines; solves complex problems with mínimal guidance.
Strong attention to detail and ability to quickly adapt to changing needs.
Fluent in English and Spanish. Italian would be a plus.
Ability to travel, when necessary.
